Writing Historical Fiction

A panel discussion of the art of historical fiction, featuring invited guest Martina Devlin, author of The House where it Happened.

The School of English, as part of the Annual Conference of the Eighteenth-Century Ireland Society, is sponsoring a panel discussion on historical fiction. The panel includes Martina Devlin, author of The House where is Happened, a gripping novel set in Antrim in 1711/12 that deals with Ireland's only witchcraft trials. Mary Morrissy, Lecturer in Fiction, and Laura McKenna, PhD student in Creative Writing, will also be discussing their approach to writing historical fiction.
