'Combs in the community: a Viking artefact biography' by Dr Steve Ashby, University of York

The Department of Archaeology and the Archaeology Student Society, ArchSoc, are delight to welcome Dr Steve Ashby of the University of York who continues the Evening Lecture Programme for 2015 with a lecture entitled 'Combs in the community: a Viking artefact biography'. Steve Ashby BSc (Birmingham), MSc Ph.D (York) is a medieval archaeologist with specialism in the archaeology of portable material culture and the use of animal products in craft and industry. He is particularly interested in the relationship between the various regions of Britain and Scandinavia before, during, and after the Viking Age. The talk will be held on Monday 09th February at 8pm in West Wing 5 (Main Campus). This event is open to all and we look forward to seeing you there on the night!
