‘Dall’effetto Zadig alla pulsione cartografica: Jorge Luis Borges e il genere poliziesco’, Dr Enrique Santos Unamuno

Enrique Santos Unamuno is a lecturer and researcher of Comparative Literature in the Department of Modern Languages and Comparative Literature at the University of Extremadura (Spain), since 2000. He graduated at the University of Salamanca (Spain) in Italian and Hispanic Studies. In 1998 he defended his PhD dissertation on Poética de la totalidad y paradigma informático en Jorge Luis Borges e Italo Calvino. He will present this paper in Italian on Borges to the UCC Italian Crime Narratives Research Group, but all are welcome. Please read Borges’ story, ‘La muerte y la brújula’ (1942; ‘La morte e la bussola’, trad. Franco Lucentini, 1955; ‘Death and the Compass’, transl. Donald A. Yates, 1962) in advance.
