In order to maintain UCC’s status as Ireland’s leading short course university we are now launching an open call for proposals to all current and retired staff of UCC, who may wish to propose a short course for the Academic Year 2012-13. You will find the Short Course Nomination Form online. You may complete and submit your form online or print and return it to us by post. You will also find a listing and outline of the 2011-12 short course programme online which may be useful in detailing the nature of the courses we offer, but we very much invite new innovative ideas from all disciplines and subject areas. Short courses are offered in two teaching periods (October-December and January-March) and are normally of six, eight or ten week duration (though we are open to considering other options). Classes are primarily offered on week nights in two-hour slots, but some are also delivered during the day. The majority of the courses are delivered on the UCC campus, but some are in outreach centres and may also be delivered through blended learning approaches.
