Charity Gala Ball in aid of the Syrian refugees for UNICEF
Fundraising Gala Ball (Black Tie Event) in aid of UNICEF for the Syrian women & children in the Zaatari refugee camp. Held at the Kingsley hotel 4th September 2015.
The Zaatari is a refugee camp in Jordan, located 10 km east of Mafraq which is gradually evolving into a permanent settlement. It was first opened on July 28, 2012 to host Syrians fleeing the violence in the ongoing Syrian civil war that erupted in 2011. On March 26, 2015, the camp population was estimated at 83,000 refugees.
This event will be held at the Kingsley hotel on the 4th of September in Aid of UNICEF and with the director of the INFANT center prof. Louise Kenny talking about the problems and risks of pregnancy such as pre-eclimpsia which are on the rise at the camp. The Honorary council of Jordan Mr. Joe Geoghegan will also talk about this matter and the Irish Jordanian relations. the event will be a black tie event and tickets, which cost €75per person, will include a glass of prosecco at reception, a gourmet 3 course meal with wine, a fantastic range of prizes worth up to 1000 euro and a special guest known as one of Ireland’s leading classical voices and Described by the former President of Ireland Mary McAleese as the woman that has the ‘voice of an angel’ Ms. Amanda Neri.
