The CloudLightning Project will host a conference on HPC and HPC-in-the-Cloud on Tuesday, 11th April in conjunction with The National Conference on Cloud Computing & Commerce.
The CloudLightning Project is a three year Horizon2020 project coordinated by UCC (Prof. John P. Morrison). Now in its final year, the project is hosting its first CloudLightning Conference in conjunction with the National Conference in Cloud Computing and Commerce (NC4). In association with The Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce (IC4), the conference will be held on Tuesday, 11th April, in DCU Business School, Dublin City University, and will feature speakers from both academia and industry from a range of computing and scientific domains including HPC, Cloud, heterogeneous computing, large scale simulation and scientific computing. There will be four sessions running from 9:30am to 1:30pm: 1. High Performance Infrastructure for Public Sector Research 2. Heterogeneous Computing 3. HPC in the Cloud Use Cases 4. Next Generation Resource Management The event will be of particular interest to Data Centres, Cloud Service Providers and companies that use HPC and cloud technologies for oil and gas exploration, ray tracing / 3D image rendering and genome processing and academic researchers in the fields of computer science, HPC and the Cloud.
