The Faculty of Law will host a CPD Seminar on Insolvency and Rescue on Friday 24th January 2014 in G10, Brookfield Health Sciences Complex. The seminar will begin at 3.00pm (Registration and Tea/Coffee from 2.30pm) and will be followed by a reception for The Honourable Ms Justice Marie Baker, hosted by the Faculty of Law, University College Cork. The event is kindly sponsored by Ronan Daly Jermyn Solicitors. The Honourable Ms. Justice Marie Baker will Chair the event.
Professor Irene Lynch Fannon will review suggested changes to the Personal Insolvency Act 2012, the commencement of the new bankruptcy process and new jurisdiction for the Circuit Court in relation to the Examinership procedure. Gerard Nicholas Murphy BL will speak on the operation of the Personal Insolvency Act 2012 and on the role of the Personal Insolvency Practitioner and the stages involved in a successful Debt Settlement Arrangement and Personal Insolvency Arrangement. Eoin Tobin from RDJ Solicitors will present an overview of recent developments in the area of Tax and Insolvency. The event will conclude with a panel discussion followed by a Questions and Answers session.
