Eighteenth-Century Ireland Society Annual Conference

A two-day international conference featuring panels and lectures on the history and culture of eighteenth-century Ireland.

The School of English, UCC, is proud to host the Annual Conference of the Eighteenth-Century Ireland Society. The programme features papers on all aspects of the culture and history of eighteenth-century Ireland and features plenary lectures by Christine Gerrard on 'Swift's Triumfeminate', David Dickson on ''Cork City and Catholic Relief, 1755-95', and Diarmaid Ó Catháin on 'The Irish Language, the "Wild Geese" and the Irish Colleges in Europe in the Eighteenth Century.' Those wishing to attend can register using the online registration facility. The conference is held in association with the School of History and Scoil Léan na Gaeilge/The School of Irish Learning.
