Eighteenth-Century Ireland Society Annual Conference

A two-day international conference featuring panels and lectures on the history and culture of eighteenth-century Ireland.

The School of English, UCC, is proud to host the Annual Conference of the Eighteenth-Century Ireland Society. The programme features papers on all aspects of the culture and history of eighteenth-century Ireland and features plenary lectures by Christine Gerrard on 'Swift's Triumfeminate', David Dickson on ''Cork City and Catholic Relief, 1755-95', and Diarmaid Ó Catháin on 'The Irish Language, the "Wild Geese" and the Irish Colleges in Europe in the Eighteenth Century.'
