Irish Renaissance Seminar

The Irish Renaissance Seminar meets twice a year around Ireland to discuss early modern literature, history, and culture. This meeting's theme is “Mapping Conflict and Power”.

We are delighted to announce that the first meeting of the Irish Renaissance Seminar in 2015 will take place in UCC on Saturday 16th May 2015. The theme for the meeting is "Mapping Conflict and Power" and we are pleased to welcome Prof. Philip Schwyzer (University of Exeter) as our plenary speaker. Prof. Schwyzer will be joined by a panel of speakers from around Ireland, who will discuss conflict and power in Medieval and early modern literature.
