Homelessness and Housing Exclusion: Policy and Practice
This homelessness policy conference focuses on key drivers of homelessness and housing exclusion, and on the effectiveness of policies in responding to these drivers, in Ireland, Denmark, and England.
This homelessness policy and practice conference will have a particular focus on key drivers of homelessness and housing exclusion, and on the effectiveness of policies (prevention, emergency responses, and accommodation) to respond to these drivers. A notable feature of the conference will be a focus on developments in the South-West region, and in Cork in particular, as these do not necessarily mirror experiences and trends in Dublin (which has been the focus of most attention to date). The focus on regional homelessness and housing exclusion will be complemented by analysis of developments in homelessness and housing exclusion at national level, and in England and Denmark. The conference will be geared towards both practitioners and analysts in this sector. The conference will be of particular interest to service providers in the statutory and voluntary sectors, and to analysts and advocates in the media, in universities and ITs, and in NGOs.
