Booker-Prize-winning author John Banville will read from his work in the first event of the 2018/19 School of English Reading Series.

Leading Irish novelist John Banville will open the School of English's 2018/19 Reading Series with a reading of his work. Banville, a Booker Prize winner for his novel, The Sea, is the author of more than 20 books in several genres including travel writing, memoir and crime under the pseudoynm Benjamin Black. He is also a screenwriter. His latest novel is Mrs Osmond, a speculative sequel to Henry James's Portrait of a Lady.
