Introduction to Contemporary Dance Duration: 10 weeks Date: Wednesday 27th September ’17 to Wednesday 29th November ‘17 Location: Drama Lab (S4), Connolly Building, Western Road Time: 19:30pm – 21:00pm Price: €120.00 or €100.00 for UCC Staff/Students, recipients of Social Welfare Payments, Over 65’s. Discover new ways to move and express yourself. Try out the basics of modern dance such as fall/recovery and create an inner connection to movement. Increase your awareness, balance, strength, and flexibility in a joyful way! Learn and devise short choreographies with self-expression and creative choice being key. Bio Maria is from Berlin, Germany, and facilitates dance and drama classes with Dance Theatre Project Cork. Her background is in modern expressive dance, contemporary dance, dance theatre, community dance and multilingual drama. She is a graduate of Drama & Theatre Studies, UCC and the Laban Guild.
