Pluck Projects -New Work from Glasgow

New Work from Glasgow brings together work from recent graduates, postgraduates and faculty from the renowned Glasgow School of Art, presented in UCC as part of the 60th Cork International Film Festival visual arts programme.

New Work from Glasgow brings together work from recent graduates, postgraduates and faculty from the renowned Glasgow School of Art, presented in UCC as part of the 60th Cork International Film Festival visual arts programme. Drawing on the connections between Scotland's second city and Ireland's - as already exists between the National Sculpture Factory (NSF) and the Scottish Sculpture Studios; and between the NSF and Robin Lee architects; our project seeks to facilitate an exchange of knowledge between the cities by future stars from this world-leading school to Cork. Glasgow has an exceptional track record of incubating artistic talent at the highest level, and this exhibition is designed to explore the connections between art studio, education and place. New Work from Glasgow features the work of James McCann (Cork), Christabel Geary (Cork), Heather Lander (US/UK), Sara Moustafa (UK), Paul Deslandes (France), Will Kendrick (UK) and Ross Birrell (UK), and will be opened by Fiona Kearney of the Glucksman Gallery. https://pluckprojects.wordpress.com/
