Remembering Corcadorca's Merchant of Venice 2005
A roundtable discussion between the creative team of Corcadorca's 2005 production of The Merchant of Venice (including Eileen Walsh) and its audience members.
The event is free but booking is essential, and places, which are limited, will be given on a first to apply basis. The morning session will concentrate on how the production was created. The afternoon session will discuss the show in the broader concept of large scale work and theatre as a civic event.
The panel includes representatives from the cast, creative team and project collaborators: Pat Kiernan (Director), Roma Patel (Set Designer), Mel Mercier (Composer), Eileen Walsh (Portia), Ryszard Radwanski (Tubal), Kieran Ahern (Antonio), Mary McCarthy (Director, The National Sculpture Factory) and Liz Meaney (Arts Director Performing and Local Arts, The Arts Council)
If you saw the show in 2005 and would be interested in attending please get in touch by emailing email@example.com OR firstname.lastname@example.org. The event is part of a project funded by CACSSS/DUETS Creative Practice Support Fund.
