A response to Guy Debord: Diagrams of Revolution at UCC Library by Danny Morrison, Belfast writer, critic and commentator. Library Learning Zone, UCC Library, University College Cork
This event is part of the Guy Debord: Diagrams of Revolution exhibition curated by UCC Library and the Dept. of French at UCC.
Danny Morrison is a writer, critic and commentator who lives in Belfast. He is the author of four novels and three works of non-fiction. An ex-republican prisoner and former National Director of Publicity for Sinn Féin, it was he who coined the phrase ‘the armalite and the ballot box’ to describe the dual strategy of the Republican Movement after the 1981 hunger strikes.
His first novel, West Belfast, which describes the rise of the IRA in the nationalist community, has just been re-issued to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its publication. http://www.dannymorrison.com
