"Absolution"
Absolution is a comedy set in the 1970s in Monaghan town where two colourful characters try to get out of a tricky situation in a town where nothing gets past the locals.
Absolution is a black comedy, set in Co. Monaghan in the late 1970's and told from the perspective of Flo Brady, a young teenager in the Cathedral’s youth choir, and Mizzenty Flannagan, the caretaker of the Cathedral. Although they seem worlds apart, they are connected by their shared loathing for one man. Through their interweaving monologues we learn the story of how their paths cross in very peculiar circumstances, involving a bishop, a bible and a speedy burial.
