This six week lecture course provides an overview of current developments in visual art.
This six week lecture course provides an overview of current developments in visual art, looking at artworks in a range of styles and media, from painting and sculpture to video, installation and performance art. Addressing the major figures, works and ideas of contemporary art, this course will show how artists reflect and have been influenced by the concerns of society today.
Led by the GLUCKSMAN curatorial team of Chris Clarke, Fiona Kearney, and Matt Packer, this course will provide an understanding of what is happening in the art world today. Each lecture will reference works currently on public view in the gallery in the exhibitions Living/Loss and Passports.
