Motion Capture is an exhibition that explores drawing, its ability to capture movement, and its particular relationship with the moving image. The exhibition features works on paper, but also includes works of film, video, photography, and sculpture that approach ideas of drawing from other perspectives.
From sketches by the celebrated French artist Henri Matisse to contemporary works by Irish and international artists, Motion Capture reveals how the simple gesture of drawing a line is able to communicate ideas of movement and time, and remains an integral part of artistic practice today.
