Perspectives: Where is Irish Art Now? with Niamh McCann
Perspectives is a series of talks exploring one question or idea from the point of view of different artists, writers, critics and curators.Niamh McCann (Dublin, 1971) is an artist living and working in Dublin. A graduate of Chelsea College of Art & Design, London, McCann has exhibited extensively in Europe, Ireland and in the USA employing a variety of working methods from drawing to sculpture. Her solo proj ects and exhibitions include: Purlieu, Green on Red Gallery, Dublin (2009), <<EME, Pallas Heights, Dublin (2005) and Total Eclipse of …, Planet 22, Geneva, Switzerland (2001).
Perspectives is a series of talks exploring one question or idea from the point of view of different artists, writers, critics and curators. The current series invites artists to discuss their relationship to Ireland and Irish art history in their individual practices. Perspectives: Where is Irish Art Now? has been developed in conjunction with the exhibition From Highwood to Home: Highlights from a Private Collection, and is generously supported by Cork Institute of Technology / Crawford College of Art & Design.
