Inviting specialists and experts from different backgrounds and pairing them with a Glucksman curator, these talks provide an opportunity to focus on a single work from an unusual perspective. This series accompanies the exhibition School Days: the look of learning (November 19, 2010 – March 27, 2011). Kathy Hall is Professor of Education and Head of School at University College Cork. Previous appointments include Professor of Education at The Open University, Professor of Childhood Education at Leeds Metropolitan University, and Senior Lecturer in Education Studies at Christ Church, Canterbury. Prior to her work in higher education, she had the roles of class teacher, deputy principal, principal. Her research seeks to develop socio-cultural understanding of learning and pedagogy and she has published widely in these areas.
