Short Courses Apple-sponsored (starting April 2023)
University College Cork Language Centre announces FIVE+ new English language scholarships for displaced people in Ireland.
Funded by Apple, the places will be allocated to those for whom English is a barrier to progression in their education or career: Apple is supporting English language learning for asylum seekers and refugees in Cork to help them to integrate successfully in Ireland.
Applicants for a full-time programme can apply for a four-week course from 17 April – 12 May or a four-week course from 15 May – 9 June. Full-time programmes run 9 am – 1 pm Monday * – Friday. Applicants select which full-time programme best suits their needs Bridge to University (Academic English) or English for Work and Life (General English)
· Applicants for a part-time programme can apply for one of our six-week evening courses 2 May – 9 June*. You can apply using this application form.
The deadline to complete your application form is 5 pm Wednesday 29 March 2023. Interviews may be held and applicants will be advised of their places before course start dates. Please direct any queries to infolang@ucc.ie or sally.orren@ucc.ie
