30-week 'Extensive' Pre-sessional Programme

Length | 30 weeks |
Hours of study | 6 hours per week (3 hours x 2 days) + 6 hours guided self-study per week. Classes are on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10.00 to 13.00 (Irish time) OR students can choose to take the course on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 14.00 to 17.00 (Irish time) |

Dates | 17 January - 10 August 2022 ( Easter holidays are 15 - 22 April) |
Programme Content/ Assessment | There are several continuously assessed tasks throughout the programme, an assessed written task and a spoken presentation at the end of the programme. There is also a final test of academic language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Results of all 3 methods of testing are combined to give an overall score. To complete this programme, students need to achieve the following:
