Project description:

This project aims to overcome the obstacles slowing our rate of progress with the energy transition by encouraging more active stakeholder engagement. Initially gaining an insight into the perspectives and perceptions of the key stakeholders (the public, the energy industry and policy makers), to facilitate the development of a collaborative plan for Ireland’s low carbon future. Exploring the possibility that local community-owned and domestic energy systems can help drive the necessary social change. This information will then feed into scenario analysis to determine the optimal levels of decentralization and electrification for our future energy system.
