Student team wins 3rd place in Healthcare Innovation Awards competition

A team of students supervised by Dr. Emanuel Popovici from the EEE department has won 3rd place in the Healthcare Innovation Awards competition.
The inter-disciplinary team of Siobhan O'Connor, Amy Long (EEE), Fiona Edwards-Murphy (EEE), Killian O'Connell and Maura Power (EEE) was shortlisted in the top 3 teams in the Healthcare Innovation Awards competition in the Irish Technology or Products Innovation section. Their product is called iCARE2.
The team was presented with a framed certificate at a ceremony in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin in May 2012.
