EEE Faculty heavily featured in UCC visit by Queen Elizabeth II
EEE faculty were heavily represented in the recent visit of Queen Elizabeth II to the Tyndall National Institute. Professor Peter Kennedy and Dr. Domenico Zito were among acadmics presented to Her Majesty.
The Queen was also shown a prototype of Dr. Zito's work, which allows for constant monitoring of babies in cots and could serve as an early warning system for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. In conjunction with the royal visit, Professor Peter Parbrook was invited to the Enterprise Ireland Business Breakfast, hosted by Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore and British Foreign Secretary, William Hague.
