Dr. Bill Wright wins SFI 2011 RFP award

Dr Bill Wright, Senior Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering in EEE and Director of the Ultrasonics Research Group in UCC has been awarded funding from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) under the 2011 Research Frontiers Programme (RFP) call.
The Research Frontiers Programme award from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) is entitled "Ultrasecure short-range wireless communication using ultrasound" and will investigate the use of modulated ultrasound in air to transmit data wirelessley over short distances.
