BEd (Hons) Sports Studies and Physical Education Students involved in the Cork Ladies All Ireland Football Final on Sunday

In one of the most amazing sports success stories in the country and probably one of the greatest in modern Irish sport, the Cork Senior Ladies Gaelic Football team will attempt to win the All-Ireland Final for 2015 and add to the titles already won in 2005/2006/2007/2008/2009/2011/2012/2013 and 2014.
UCC GAA are proud to acknowledge the contribution of its students and mentors in this outstanding story and wish them every success when they play Dublin, next Sunday, September 27th in Croke Park.
From a panel of 30 players , there are 13 girls who are current students in the University , Emma & Orlagh Farmer (Masters), Aine O’Sullivan (Food Marketing), Jennifer Barry (Arts), Doireann O’Sullivan (Sports Studies & Physical Education), Maire O’Callaghan (Biological Sciences), Laura Crowley (Childhood Studies), Vera Foley (PHD Science), Marie Ambrose (Sports Studies & Physical Education), Roisin Phelan (Dentistry) along with incoming Fresher’s Eimear Scally (Arts), Emer Meaney (Commerce) and Maeve O’Sullivan (Commerce).
Eamon Ryan (former GDO) is the manager and he is assisted by three of the UCC Senior management team, Shane Ronayne, Pat O’Leary and Grace Kearney.
The game is live on TG4 and throws in at 4pm. If you are going to the game, tickets can be bought at the stiles.
Congratulations to Mark O’Connor from Dingle, who is a first year Commerce student, who captained the Kerry Minor team to All Ireland success last Sunday as well as his team mates Ronan Buckley from Listry (Commerce 1) and Jason Foley from Ballydonoghue (Social Science 1)
