Dr Siobhán Dowling Long wins American Best Book award 2017 for 'The Bible in Music: A Dictionary of Songs, Works and More' (Siobhán Dowling Long and John F.A. Sawyer)

The announcement was made on November 9th. 

Written by Dr Siobhán Dowling Long from the UCC School of Education and Professor Emeritus John F. A. Sawyer (Universities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Lancaster), The Bible in Music is a treasure trove of music - from classical to pop and rock - all based on or inspired by the Bible.

The Bible in Music also won first prize in the USA 2016 International Book Award in the category “Religion: General”.  It also received a "recommendation" from the influential American Library Association publication Choice (Current Reviews for Academic Libraries). The book is published by Rowman & Littlefield and is available from Amazon, Waterstones, and all good bookshops. It is also available as an e-book from itunes.

The publisher Rowman and Littlefield is now preparing a paperback edition.
