UCC welcomes primary school (4th, 5th & 6th class) students and secondary school students with disabilities to fun, summer schools May 2019
UCC's Disability Support Service welcomes and supports students who have disabilities.
We are running one day, fun Summer Schools in May for:
- students who are blind/vision impaired,
- students who are Deaf/hard of hearing,
- students with a physical/mobility difficulties and
- autistic students.
On May 23rd we will welcome primary school (4th, 5th & 6th class) students and on
May 30th we hold another Summer School for secondary school students.
These Summer Schools are free of charge and lunch will be provided for students who attend.
We will meet in the Assistive Technology Lab in the Boole Library at 10.30am. For students we will have some fun activities planned for the morning while parents can attend an information session with UCC advisors who will outline:
- the DARE process
- current supports for students with disabilities in UCC
- experiences of current UCC students with disabilities who will also be available for questions and answers.
Lunch will then be provided for students followed by more fun activities in the Mardyke Sports Arena, finishing at 4pm.
