Once again this year a group of staff and students at UCC are organising parties for children living in Direct Provision centres in Cork.
There are currently approximately 400 asylum seeking children in the centres in Kinsale road, Ashbourne, Drishane, and Clonakility.
We do our very best to make this a fun day and a brief respite for the children and their families.
We are holding three parties - December 8th in the Rock community centre and December 15th in Drishane castle and the DP centre in Clonakilty.
UCC staff and students always support this very generously and we ask once more for your contributions to the gofundme campaign. Money will go directly to purchasing gifts for the children, buying food and organising entertainment for the parties.
