Engaging Men and Women Equally - A Masterclass

The Public Sector Network Group of the 30% Club Ireland has the pleasure of inviting you to a virtual event on Wednesday 1 December 2021, “Engaging Men and Women Equally – A Masterclass”.

Registration for the event is now live at

The event should be of particular value to male leaders given their strong representation at the most senior levels of organisations and their role in advocating for real change, but is open to all men and women, at all grades working in the civil and public service with an interest in creating greater diversity and inclusion of talent in your teams. This one hour event will be hosted by Peter Cosgrave, Managing Director, Futurewise, a future of work insights company and is supported by our colleagues in Teagasc. We are encouraging anyone who registers to encourage a colleague of the opposite gender to also register.

About the 30% Club

A public sector network (PSN) group under the 30% Club Ireland was established in 2019, with a Working Committee set up in 2020. Membership of the current Committee is drawn from right across the public service, with representatives from the agriculture, defence, health, higher education and local government sectors, An Garda Síochána, the Public Appointments Service and Government Departments.

The focus of the initiative is to help promote gender balance across the civil and public service by sharing ideas and good practice, drawing on common opportunities and experiences while recognising the different challenges that exist in various sectors. It aims to engage both men and women and work alongside formal and informal structures to promote shared aims around a good working experience for all staff.

The 30% Club Ireland launched in January 2015, with a goal to achieve better gender balance at all levels in leading Irish businesses, with a specific focus on senior roles. The 30% Club is a global campaign for change and delivers by raising awareness at national levels, working directly to engage senior leaders, and building talent pipelines with initiatives including cross company mentoring, executive education and board readiness supports.

With 270 confirmed supporter organisations, the focus is on gaining visible and practical support for gender balance from business leaders in private, public, State, local and multinational companies working in a collaborative way towards a common goal. The newly formed Public Sector Network Group joins existing sector groups serving Financial Services, Professional Services, Pharma, Technology and Food & Drink.
