What can YOU do?
If you are in a situation where you think your device is being monitored or controlled by someone else, you can find some safety tips here https://www.sexualviolence.ie/safety-message.
Click here to exit this page and be redirected to the UCC homepage.
While the topic of sexual violence and harassment might be a difficult one, the good news is that there are so many ways to tackle this issue and we can all play a role, no matter how big or small or what our relationship to UCC is.
Safe activism means making it sustainable to avoid burnout and trauma. We all have something different to offer, and we all learn in different ways. If you want to get involved, think about your skillset and what kind of campaigns you are comfortable getting involved in. Training and support are provided, and we are all a team working together with the shared goal of making consent culture a larger part of life in UCC and beyond.

SoundSquad explainer
Our SoundSquad team is made of up of students from UCC who want to play a role in the continued process of building a culture of respect and consent on campus. They take part on various activities from hosting workshops, distributing material, contributing to the development of campaigns, and so much more. They are people who we value immensely for their willingness to give up their time and energy for this goal.
To become a SoundSquad member, you can email esvh@ucc.ie and take part in a four-hour training to join our wonderful team of creative, compassionate legends. Time commitments vary and we can be flexible around your schedule.
