Incoming First Year Students

Registration with Disability Support Service

Needs Assessment Appointments for First Year Students

All students with a disability in UCC have the opportunity to receive supports. To receive these supports students are invited to register with the Disability Support Service and to meet with an Advisor to carry out an assessment of needs. This involves discussing some background information, looking at the demands of your course and deciding if reasonable accommodations and supports are required. Appointments can be in person, on the phone or via skype.

Students who are offered a place through the CAO and DARE will be contacted in August/Early September with a date and more information about a needs assessment appointment.  We will make contact using the phone number provided in your DARE application. We will also send you useful information through the email address you provided in your DARE application, prior to your arrival in UCC.

Students with a specific learning difficulty are also invited to complete our online registration form.
