DSS Orientation

DSS Orientation 2019- Where Is It?

This event will take place in Boole 1. If you are unfamiliar with UCC please use our interactive map to find Boole 1 
Please note that the event will run for four hours with short talks from various UCC staff, students are encouraged to attend for the full orientation
A separate information evening for Parents will be held on Tuesday 10th September. Further information on this can be found here (Please note that this link will only be live from 10:00 on Friday 16th August 2019).

DSS Orientation 2019 – What is it?

The orientation is a great opportunity to meet other students and to learn about the supports available to you. Orientation will begin at 10am. Some key features of the orientation include:
• Introduction to the Staff of the DSS
• UCC Clubs and Societies
• Student Services Presentations
• Welfare and Budgeting Presentation
• Tea/Coffee Break
• Register with the DSS and Needs Assessment to identify supports
• Introduction to the Skills Centre
• Students Union Presentation

DSS Orientation 2019- What do you need to do before you arrive?
Once you get your CAO course offer, it is really important to:
1. Accept your UCC course offer on www.cao.ie
2. Read the email sent to you by the DSS
• Complete your online registration with the DSS
• Confirm you attendance at Orientation on August 27th
