Technology Enhancing Education for All

UCC’s Disability Support Service delivers an Assistive Technology (AT) Outreach programme to promote awareness and use of assistive technology in secondary schools.  The aim of the programme is to enhance access and transition to Higher Education for students with disabilities who are currently underrepresented at third level.

What will I learn?

  • What is assistive technology (AT).
  • Advice on students using the computer well to make best use of Assistive Technology.
  • An overview of the wide variety of assistive technologies available to students who learn differently because of a learning difficulty/disability

Then you can choose which follow-on, specific, hands-on training you and of which your school wishes to avail.
