MSc International Public Policy and Diplomacy
Dr. Andrew Cottey, Past Programme Director, introduces the MSc International Public Policy and Diplomacy
The MSc International Public Policy and Diplomacy is an innovative, interdisciplinary taught masters programme that provides graduates with the expertise and work experience required for successful careers in international policy environments.
The programme is offered by University College Cork’s Departments of Government, History, Law and Management and Marketing, giving students access to expertise across a diverse range of subjects.
The MSc International Public Policy and Diplomacy is strongly orientated toward vocational skills training through course work and the opportunity to undertake a work placement.
The work placement gives graduates a unique opportunity to develop important professional skills and to immediately apply their learning to the professional world.
The programme will be of interest to those aspiring to careers in departments of foreign affairs and other government ministries international political and financial organisations the armed forces aid agencies and non?governmental organisations think?tanks international businesses.

How to Apply
We are currently accepting applications.
Applications are being reviewed on a regular basis and we will make offers or conditional offers of places on the programme on an on-going basis.
The programme will take approximately 20-30 students – applications will be assessed on the quality of the applicants and their applications (including personal statements and references).
The fees for the MSc International Public Policy and Diplomacy are as follows:
- EU students: €7,500
- Non-EU students: €15,000
