Students as Partners

'Students as partners' is one of the four pillars of the IUA Enhancing Digital Teaching and Learning (EDTL) project. Students are experts on what is working in their education, and their input is vital to improving the student experience. They are the masters of how they want to learn, and it is crucial to hear what they have to say and truly listen to their words.

Catherine Dawson is currently working as UCC's EDTL Student Assoicate Intern. In this role, Catherine is responsible for highlighting the student perspective on various issues, identifing areas that require improvement, and creating supports for students. Catherine ensures that the student voice is front and central in designing staff training and professional development intiatives.

In her previous role as Education Officer in UCC's Students' Union, Catherine actively advocated for initiatives to enhance the student leanring experience.
