Cryptography Research Group

The Cryptography Research group at UCC is carrying out research into the hardware implementation of cryptographic algorithms and into side channel attacks and countermeasures.  The group is a member of the Claude Shannon Institute (CSI). Funded under the Science Foundation Ireland Mathematics Initiative, the Claude Shannon Institute‚Äôs mission is to support research in broad areas of Mathematics of Communications. The Cryptography Research group at UCC is participating in the CSI research project on Elliptic/Hyperelliptic Curve Cryptography. The group is also associated with the Boole Centre for Research in Informatics (BCRI).
