Crèche Cois Laoi’s mission is "To provide the highest quality childcare for the children of staff and students of UCC in a safe, loving and accepting environment within which each child is supported in developing their potential at their own pace and where self-respect and respect for others is constantly promoted."

Angela Cronin, Manager at Crèche Cois Laoi in her praise of the staff on being awarded The Centre of Excellence said: "I would like to thank all the staff at Crèche Cois Laoi for their commitment and dedication in working to bring the Crèche to the high standard that we have achieved. We have all learned so much during the process and we can see how the improvements and changes that we have made are positively impacting on the children."

The Centre of Excellence Award is bestowed by the National Children’s Nurseries Association (NCNA).

Angela Cronin explained: "NCNA members recognise and promote the value of providing quality daycare for each individual child in their care. Quality childcare positively influences children’s earliest experiences in daycare and plays a vital role in their future development. The All Ireland Centre of Excellence Award acknowledges the NCNA members who are providing excellent standards of care for children in Ireland."
