Outline
This course explores issues relating to social justice, equality, diversity and health from an interdisciplinary perspective. The offering invites participants to critically reflect on these issues with an emphasis on activism, agency, empowerment, and advocacy. It encourages participants to explore the reality of unequal power relationships, discrimination and oppression and the denial of access to opportunities, resources and decision-making processes.
We will help you to facilitate the development of awareness on
(1) Cultural issues and cultural appreciation
(2) Anti racism, and anti-discriminatory practice
(3) Social justice, equality, and human rights
(4) Individualisation neoliberalism and health
