The aim of the course is to provide voluntary and community sector organisations with information and skills to develop a strategy for fund-raising.
Course content will include:
The Theory of Non-Profit Fundraising | Fundraising in the Irish Context;
Fundraising Diagnostic, Scope & Strategy;
Prospect Research, Donor Identification and your Donor Pyramid;
Building a Case for Funding.
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- Demonstrate a deeper understanding of the different fundraising tools available to organisations on the voluntary sector and the impact of these tools in the wider Irish fundraising context;
- Have an understanding of how to assess their current fundraising model, determine a long-term vision for their organisation and assess the ‘funding gap’;
- Understand how to identify, research and categorise their top donors or sources of funding in a fundraising campaign context;
- Demonstrate a deeper understanding of the importance of communicating a strong case for funding and how to build such a case to present to potential donors/sources of funding.
Friday 18th , Saturday 19th, Friday 25th and Saturday 26th May 2018, 9.00-1.00pm
16 hours of face-to-face teaching in blocks of 4 hours each over 4 days.
Classes to be held in UCC.

Full fee: €60
Cancellation fee: 50% of fee will be refunded if the booking is cancelled at least 1 week in advance.
This course has been priced to cover costs and is being run on a not-for-profit basis.
