Autumn Conferrings FAQs

Your EU Digital COVID Certificate or your HSE vaccination record. You need to have photo ID to show that the proof of vaccination or recovery belongs to you.

You can use the following as identification:

  • driving licence
  • passport
  • student card
  • Garda age card
  • Irish Residence Permit (IRP)
  • national identity card
  • any other official document that includes your photo and was issued outside of Ireland

If you do not have an EU Digital COVID Certificate or HSE vaccination record (because you are visiting Ireland from another country for example), you can use an official vaccination record issued by the country where you were vaccinated or tested for COVID-19.

No, the government guidelines do not include negative PCR tests as a means of entry into indoor events.  The university has checked this with the HSE.

Yes, upon arrival your guests must check-in and show their proof of vaccination. Their attendance will be registered at this time. There is no requirement to advise us ahead of time.

Only two guests are permitted per graduate. Additional guests may come on-campus for outdoor activities.

There will be a speech by the president. Your Head of College will do a Roll Call. You will be invited to walk across the stage and wave to the audience. Our photographer Lafayette will be on site to take a photo of you on-stage.
