A contest in its 8th year, 44 teams, over 130 participants from 13 third level institutions and including 6 secondary school teams

The UCC ACM student chapter hosted the Irish Collegiate Programming Contest (IrlCPC) on Saturday 25th March 2017.

The contest which is in its 8th year was the biggest yet with 44 teams registered representing more than 130 participants from 13 Third Level institutions and including 6 Secondary School teams.

Organising Committee comprised: Mervyn O’Luing, Sorina Chisca, Anne-Marie George and Imran Khan, all from Insight Research Centre, UCC.

The committee would like to acknowledge the invaluable assistance of last year’s committee members Dr Barry Hurley, Padraig O’Duinn, Milan De Cauwer and Tadhg Fitzgerald in preparing the questions for this year’s contest.

The committee also wishes to thank Professor Barry O’Sullivan for his continuous support as Faculty sponsor of the chapter.

The committee acknowledges the generous prize sponsorships by this year’s partners - Google, Insight and Newsweaver.
