Cork NeuroScience (CNS) group comprises coherently linked projects in the fields of development, neural plasticity and repair.
The Research group investigates a range of neurodegenerative, neurological and psychiatric diseases and disorders, including; Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Epilepsy and seizures, Multiple sclerosis, Depression and anxiety, in addition to a number of other orphan brain diseases.
Work spans across basic and clinical research allowing translational discoveries. A key aim of the group is to promote collaborative research between clinical and basic neuroscience researchers.
