Transitioning - Climate Change & Society

It is a necessary to move to a zero carbon society as well as economy involving changes of behaviour, patterns of consumption, how and we live, eat and work. The research focuses how we can catalyse a rapid societal transition to a zero carbon society with a focus on the human systems, effecting political change and focusing on the co-benefits. Many measures for addressing climate change are compatible with goals of boosting national development, equitable growth and broadly shared improvements in living standards, and make economic sense even before considering future avoided climate damage.
