The General Details
- Date: Saturday, 21 March, 2020
- Time: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Location: Gouganne Barra, Co. Cork.
Immersed in nature and history, the Chaplaincy will lead students and staff through this famous West Cork spot, walking in the footsteps of Finbarr, Cork and UCC's patron.
-The group will leave from UCC's Chaplaincy together via bus in the morning. The group will depart from Gouganne Barra together via bus and return to the chaplaincy that afternoon.
-This is a hike in a beautiful part of the world that holds important historical and religious significance. Though Finbarr a saint and the oratory a chapel, this day will mostly be an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of West Cork and to learn about Gouganne Barra. If desired, there will be an opportunity for those who would like to engage in prayer or reflection when the group reaches the historic oratory of St. Finbarr.
-There will be a fee for the bus; we suggest bringing a packed-lunch to be eaten at the picnic grounds.
