The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai
Dr Nick Chisholm, Director of the CGD, and Dr Darius Whelan, Senior Lecturer, UCC School of Law, are visiting the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai.
Dr Nick Chisholm, Director of the CGD, and Dr Darius Whelan, Senior Lecturer, UCC School of Law, are visiting the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai as part of a HEA-funded mobility grant to develop a strategic partnership in student and staff mobility and research between UCC and TISS. The two institutions signed an MoU in 2015 to promote collaboration. As part of the on-going relationship three UCC undergraduate students from the BSc International Development and Food Policy have recently started placements with Mumbai-based NGOs addressing issues of social exclusion and inequality. The students will be based at the TISS campus for a period of about 4 months.
