Noreen graduated from Technical University of Munich with her Master of science in Food Chemistry in January 2020. Her research internship took place at the University of Helsinki where she worked on developing a UHPLC-MS method for vitamin B12 analysis in animal based foods. She continued the study in Helsinki in her Master´s thesis investigating different extraction methods for vitamin B12 and comparing existing quantification methods for B12.
Noreen started her PhD under the supervision of Prof. Elke Arendt. Her research is focused on plant protein characterization in the Smart Protein project.
