Professor Siobhán Mullally appointed to EUI 2013-15

The CCJHR is delighted to announce the recent appointment of Professor Siobhán Mullally to the High Council (Governing Body) of the European University Institute, Florence (2013-15).
Professor Siobhán Mullally was founder and Co-Director of the Centre for Criminal Justice and Human Rights at the Faculty of Law, University College Cork. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Centre for Global Development and the Institute for Social Sciences in the 21st century (ISS 21).Building on work in conflict / post-conflict societies, Siobhán has worked as an adviser and consultant on gender, migration and human rights to UN bodies and to international NGOs in many parts of the world, including most recently in Ethiopia, Timor-Leste, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Kosovo.
The High Council of the European University Institute is made up of representatives from the Contracting States to the Institute's Convention, who take the chair in turn, and it is responsible for the main guidance of the Institute and for drawing up the rules governing its activities.
