Addressing the outcome of the A, B & C v Ireland ruling at the European Court of Human Rights.

On January 13 2011, the Government published the terms of reference and named the expert group tasked with addressing the outcome of the A, B & C v Ireland ruling at the European Court of Human Rights.

In expectation of this development, the Centre for Criminal Justice and Human Rights of University College Cork organised a lecture in Dublin on 10 November 2011.  Mr Justice Javier Borrego Borrego, Spanish Judge at the European Court of Human Rights (2003-2008), and Mr Juris Rudevskis (permanent legal adviser at the ECHR, Research Division, Jurisconsult services) examined issues pertaining the A,B & C v Ireland case. Unfortunately due to illness, Mr. Rudevskis was unable to attend but he kindly made a copy of his speech available which was read out at the lecture.  Both lectures can be .  The views expressed by both speakers do not necessarily represent the opinions of those in the CCJHR or associated with it.
